Product designer and front-end developer, based in Kolkata. I studied English, not design, which turns out to matter more than you'd think.

I didn't set out to be a designer. I studied English at Amity University in Kolkata, which mostly meant three years of being told to justify every claim I made about a text, a habit that turns out to be strangely useful when you're deciding whether a dashboard's numbers are telling the truth. I backed into this career sideways: writing scripts for e-learning content first, then noticing I cared more about how a module was structured than what it said, then noticing I cared even more about how it looked. By the time I opened Figma properly, in 2019, the pattern was obvious.
I grew up in Asansol, a smaller industrial town a few hours from Kolkata, and I think it shows in what I gravitate toward. Not sleek consumer apps, but the unglamorous back-office tools a business actually runs on: ledgers, permission systems, consoles nobody outside the company will ever see. Somebody has to make those legible. I like being that person.
These days I work primarily in Figma (wireframing, prototyping, building components I can reuse), but I don't stop at the file. I care about hierarchy and accessibility because I've watched both get lost in handoff, and the fastest way I know to stop that happening is to build the thing myself.
I sort out what a screen has to say before I decide how it should look. Skipping that step is how you end up with a beautiful interface nobody can use.
I'd rather spend a week on a component system than a month re-solving the same button. It's less exciting to talk about, and it's why the work still holds up six months later.
If I can't say what job a screen is doing for the user, I cut it or fix it. Decoration that isn't doing anything is just noise with good taste.
Flows, information architecture, and high-fidelity UI for data-dense tools: the screens where state, permissions, and edge cases decide the design.
Reusable component libraries and consistent tokens, with contrast and accessibility built into the system rather than checked at the end.
Production React and Next.js, motion, and performance work: I build the interface I designed, including the site you are reading.
Not clickable mockups: functional builds that enforce their own rules, so a claim about a product can be opened and tested instead of taken on trust.
I also work in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, WordPress, HubSpot, Microsoft Office, and enough audio and video tools to be dangerous.
Graphic Designer · Full-time
On-site · Sep 2025 – PresentI lead the visual and front-end work here: everything from brand-aligned marketing creative to the actual production code behind insightstap.com. I took a genuinely dense B2B go-to-market product and turned it into an interface people can read in one scroll. Where it started: carousels, ad visuals, banners and pitch decks in Figma, learning how a brand actually behaves once it leaves the style guide.
Creative Designer
Remote · Jan 2022 – Oct 2025Content writing, photo and video editing, instructional design: a genuinely wide spread of freelance work that taught me how differently "good" looks depending on who's asking.
Learning Designer · Full-time
Nov 2021 – Sep 2022Designed end-to-end learning flows for professional certification courses with subject-matter experts, and rebuilt course layouts that were quietly hurting completion rates.
Content Developer · Full-time
Remote · Mar 2019 – Sep 2021Built presentations and content on social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, email) and standardised the typography and layout across an entire content series that had none.
